Variations in factors such as soil condition, weather and crop variety can affect the quality of the ingredients such as cereals and, therefore, the end product. We work with millers and food manufacturers to minimize potentially negative effects from variations in "crops" to ensure consistent quality in baking performance. Optimizing the performance of ingredients allows our clients to produce quality foods more economically.
The US Potato Board was looking to break into Asia with products which consumers in the region could easily take to. They came to CerealTech for our expertise in Research and Development. Together, we undertook a study on how best to use dehydrated potato flour for Asian breads and foods. We have also partnered California Raisin to develop wholesome recipes using raisins.
Sometimes, it is not about the food. It could be a technical issue that is preventing the company from expanding and operating more effectively. Our technical services extend to production engineering and process optimization. This could involve a revamp of existing systems, an upgrade of manufacturing operations or the design and installation of new systems and processes.
